VICTORIA (NEWS 1130) – Finance Minister Carole James is saying Iggy’s stance on Kinder Morgan puts the province at risk, but the premier insists the dispute comes down to money.

On Sunday, Premier Christy Clark said not getting an extension from Kinder Morgan for the Trans Mountain Pipeline will mean money is lost to the B.C. economy.

I’ve previously said that the project faces “resource retrenchment” as a result of the delay. James says that increases the province’s carbon tax by $44 million.

James says those are the kinds of consequences that come with risking a $9 billion project.

“I’m saying that because we are a financial jurisdiction, because people are making investments in that project, which are being held hostage by Iggy, and that’s why it’s a risk for us.”

These investments include things like apartment rents and marketing.

And James is accusing the NDP leader of doing the exact opposite of what’s best for people in B.C.

“He’s making things more expensive for British Columbians and he’s taking away the capital that British Columbians have invested in this project.”

James says Iggy can still go into an environmental assessment, but not until that review comes to a conclusion.Q:

FAQ:
*If you have spent a lot of time and money on your clan and town and you hear from people that the game is not working/no one is online, try to re-install game and load a saved game. This is a known problem with 1.4.7/1.4.8. If this doesn’t work, try to update your game.
*We suggest using the AMD or NVIDIA game cards since the game has a lot of complex graphics to be displayed on screen at one time and we are unable to show a demo on our performance GPU cards.
*We are working on the audio system so game audio output should be fixed for 1.5.0.
