Ess 1978 Sound Card Drivers Windows 7 64 Bitrar

I have the exact same issue. The only difference is that my laptop is a Gateway and my computer is a Dell. Sounds like the realtek sound is nothing but a piece of crap. I paid $200.00 for it and it is not worth it at all.

REALtek Support chat and the best they can do is tell you to uninstall the driver. This is suppose to be hard to uninstall, and as best I can tell you need to uninstall the entire Realtek Audio Drivers and then reinstall. It can be done though, but it is not an easy task. If you have the appropriate the knowledge you can do it. This is not a Realtek Support Team member.

I’ve had this sound issue on two laptops with the same RTL8118S USB sound card. The first was a Acer Aspire V15000, and the other was a Dell Latitude 5400. But I had it working perfectly on both. You’ll need to find whatever driver for the other laptop you want to use. This is a really annoying sound bug.

I have an Acer laptop with the Realtek soundcard installed and it also suffers from the same issue, even after installing the « solved » windows update. I’ve tried almost everything I could think of including rebooting and uninstalling the driver, but no joy. I also have an Asus Zenbook with the same RTL8118S soundcard and that one does not have the same issue. I really hope they can come up with a solution at some point. This is really annoying having to go through all these steps, especially when these laptops are expensive and I’m having a lot of trouble getting my money worth.

I have Realtek 8180 sound card and im using windows 7 64 bit. I follow all steps to install driver and also download from realtek website. But when i click to install/update driver and also reboot my computer, still the same problem. When i plug my headphone to my audio jack, it plays normal sound. But when i disconnect it, the sound is mute.

I installed this exact realtek driver package on my windows 10 laptop last week and everything worked fine. Today, I install the driver on my windows 7 laptop and it’s not working at all. I don’t have the card in and the drivers aren’t showing up when I run device manager. That being said, I’m not sure if that’s the problem, or if there is something else I need to do to get it working.
Hello i have a dell inspiron n5110 with the 64 bit version of windows 10 and i have a snd-hda-intel driver that is outdated and downloaded the newer version of it from a site on the internet i re-installed it after downloading it not sure it worked if not it did say it is up to date and working so far.
I have this bloody sound card driver installed on Windows 10, x64, that is incompatible with the actual hardware I have in the machine. It does have a 64-bit Windows driver installed and the hardware is recognised in the device manager. It tells me that « This device was working properly before you installed a driver », and I have 2 other sound cards installed on this machine that do work properly. Why is it compatible, and this one not? Please help, and perhaps someone else can see why this is an infuriating driver to get working as I cannot…
Ive been having problems with my HP Touchsmart 14B with the 64 bit version of windows 10 ever since I updated the Sound Card Driver. It shows up in the device manager and I see it is there in realtek, but its always greyed out and I cant use it.
